Director and creator Bob Sagat stars in his new film Benjiman about a family calls in an intervention for Benjamin, a kid who is doing drugs. Soon, it becomes clear that those who are confronting Benjamin’s problem also have many problems of their own. Redbox called HollandWest to write, produce, and direct a promo campaign and an EPK content shoot for the premiere of Benjamin.

Walmart

Walmart was founded in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas, by Sam Walton. This popular American superstore is a leader in discount department stores, hypermarkets, and grocery stores. Walmart has an established brand for every low pricing but wanted to increase awareness about the benefits Walmart brings to the local communities it serves. HollandWestProductions collaborated with Global Hue to direct and produce a Walmart commercial featuring their commitment to providing jobs and savings for the communities they serve. Opportunity for growth is plentiful, as approximately 75% of management at Walmart started as hourly associates. Additionally, Walmart is investing $2.7 billion over two years in higher wages, education, and training. Our team visualized Walmart’s commitment to both individual and community opportunity, growth, and transformation by showcasing a local community Walmart serves in Atlanta.  Walmart; Save money, live better. This commercial aired nationally on various broadcast television networks. Today Walmart employs 1.5 million U.S. associates and continues to serve communities at more than 5,000 stores and clubs nationwide.

Walmart is an American multinational retail corporation that operates discount department stores, hypermarkets, and grocery stores. This retail giant established an unparalleled reputation for low pricing but wanted to increase consumer awareness about their fresh groceries. In order to expand Walmart’s branding to include fresh groceries, our team collaborated with Global Hue to direct and produce a Walmart holiday cooking-themed commercial. We feature celebrity icon and baking mogul Patti Labelle as she cooks an Easter meal with her family from start to finish using Walmart’s fresh groceries. We feature one-stop grocery shopping for Easter ingredients at Walmart and follow Patti as she bonds with her family cooking groceries at home. We watch Patti’s holiday party come together with whole and fresh foods. Find low prices on the food that brings us together for Easter; Walmart. #SaveMoneyLiveBetter This commercial aired on various cable networks. Walmart continues to be a national leader in retail and consumer goods.

Clorox

HollandWest worked closely with The Cusp Network to produce and execute two episodes and photo assets of the “What Comes Next Is Everything” campaign for Clorox, meeting the brand’s objective of engaging a multi-generational African-American demographic.

NYSERDA Clean Energy Communities

In collaboration with Arch Street Communications and New York State, HollandWest took on the task of crafting a series of stories showing how different communities across New York utilize clean energy all across the state. From solar grids in Boonsvile to Smithtown, New York that buys electric Chevrolet Bolts in addition to charging stations that the public can use for free for at least two years. The town plays a role in showcasing alternative technologies.

The HUB Project | Health Care Voter

The Hub Project builds coalitions and provides resources, capacity, infrastructure, and expertise to partners in the progressive movement. With experience in communications, digital, organizing, and research, we bring our skills to advocacy campaigns working to strengthen our democracy, protect access to health care, and ensure the economy works for everyone. The Hub Project called on HollandWest to develop some powerful stories around the current state of access to basic healthcare. Karamo Bell was named the new ambassador of Health Care Voter and HollandWest followed him around America as we heard amazing stories from families telling their stories about the importance of having healthcare.

Vote Early ft. Common

In continuation with the 2020 When We All Vote campaign we’ve been commissioned to creative direct, one of the assignments was to take a powerful song that rapper, actor, and activist Common wrote and turn it into a music video. One of the challenges is that we were still at the height of Covid, so we did not have access to Common. We came up with the idea of making this a totally animation piece using powerful imagery to tell a story. Working with the animation wizard Tim Van and his team we crafted something that ended up getting a lot of notoriety.

Another important project we worked on during our time with When We All Vote was working with poet and rapper Add-2 (Andre DiJuan Daniels) hailing from Chicago. We worked with Art Director Tim Van to craft a powerful story through animation.

Biden Goes Home

Hillary Clinton made history by becoming the first woman nominated by the Democratic Party for President of the United States of America in 2016. Clinton held various public office positions prior to the campaign including 67th United States Secretary of State, U.S. Senator from New York, and First Lady of The United States. Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary for America, sought to create digital content to showcase the campaign trail. HollandWestProductions served as director of photography for this special on Joe Biden campaigning in his home state of Pennsylvania for Hillary Clinton. This digital content was posted on her campaign Facebook page and her other social media platforms.

Created by Michelle Obama, When We All Vote brings together individuals, institutions, brands, and organizations to register new voters across the country and advance civic education for the entire family and voters of every age to build an informed and engaged electorate for today and generations to come. Hollandwest was tapped to be the creative agency during the 2020 election cycle.
