Mahmoud Said - Egyptian Olympic Team London 2012 Tae Kwon Do

Mahmoud Said, WTF World Pro Ranking Tae Kwon Do, was a member of the London 2012 Egyptian Olympic Team. Performing in the olympic games is an distinct honor that demands tremendous physical and mental strength; and what many people don’t know is that it also commands tremendous fees. Mahmoud is a tremendously talented Tae Kwon Do champion, but financial means held him back from a chance to qualify for the 2016 olympics in Rio. In 2014, Mahmoud Said started a crowdfunding campaign to finance his 2016 olympics #RoadToRio. Mahmoud needed a video to move, motivate, and inspire people to donate to his olympic fund.

We were very intrigued by his story to gain sponsorship and retain his place among the World Class Rankings of Tae Kwon Do. Our team produced and directed a docu-short on Mahmoud’s journey to qualify for the 2016 olympics in Rio. We visualized Mahmoud’s journey by integrating footage of his real olympic training, previous qualifying games, and honest interviews to encapsulate Mahmoud’s passion for Tae Kwon Do. This short film premiered on Mahmoud Said’s fundraising campaign, which successfully raised thousands of dollars towards Mahmoud’s olympic journey.
